Sweet Potatoes

We gave Finn her first solid food this morning, sweet potatoes mixed with Greek yogurt. She did a pretty good job, but the face she gave when she was finished made it pretty clear that she wasn't going to take anymore. Tomorrow, we try avocado.

Finnegan is half a year old today- I know you want your kids to grow up nice and healthy and strong but I wish we could just savor this baby time a bit longer.

Finn got quite a kick out of torturing her friend Emily when Emily and her mom, Kelli, visited a couple of weeks ago.

On Friday Finnegan and I loaded up and headed to DC on the Amtrack. We almost missed the train, very funny running through Penn Station with Gabe holding a car seat and bag and me with the babe.

We had such a fantastic time at the Carters! Emily (6 months today!!) and Finnegan played all weekend together- Cate joined them Friday afternoon but she was out of town for the rest of the trip. On Monday Kelli and I and our daughters (man, still can't believe we are both mommas to little girls) packed her car and we headed back to NYC so that Finnegan could share her toys. It was such a fun time. Sure wish we lived closer.

We spent a bit of time at Ikea, the girls were tired so we let them rest on this bed while we finished our shopping. In this picture they are discussing how crazy their mom's are!
